Description
The Milwaukee 48-39-0609 is a 3-pack of 35-3/8-inch EXTREME THICK METAL 8/10 TPI bi-metal bandsaw blades engineered for Milwaukee's compact (deep-cut style) cordless bandsaws — including the M18 FUEL Compact Band Saw (2729-20) and M12 FUEL Sub-Compact Band Saw (2529-20).
The 8/10 TPI variable tooth pitch is the sweet spot for cutting medium-to-thick wall metal stock: heavy structural angle, square tube, schedule 40 and schedule 80 pipe, solid round bar, threaded rod, Unistrut, channel iron, and stainless steel fittings. Variable pitch teeth (alternating 8 and 10 teeth per inch) break up harmonic vibration that causes blade chatter and tooth strippage on uniform-pitch blades, letting the blade self-feed cleanly into thick stock without grabbing.
Bi-metal construction welds high-speed steel cutting edges to a flexible spring-steel backer, giving the blade hardness where it cuts and fatigue resistance where it bends around the saw wheels. Milwaukee's EXTREME formulation upgrades the HSS edge alloy and grinds an aggressive variable-pitch tooth geometry for what the company rates as 3X life in stainless steel and other extreme metals, 2X faster cuts in thin metals, and 25% more cuts per battery charge versus standard bi-metal blades.
Blade dimensions are 35-3/8" length, 1/2" width, 0.020" thickness — the standard envelope for compact cordless deep-cut bandsaws.
