Description
The Southwire 26020008-6 is a 2-foot, 12/3 SJTW, 15-amp inline GFCI tri-tap extension cord — a short, fat, heavy-duty "GFCI cord set" widely deployed on jobsites that operate corded power tools from temporary power sources, generator panels, or non-GFCI receptacles.
The integrated GFCI module sits inline immediately behind the male NEMA 5-15 plug, so the moment the cord is energized the protection chain begins, regardless of what the upstream receptacle looks like. The female end is not a single outlet but a molded tri-tap "T-head" with three NEMA 5-15R receptacles — a power block that lets a single GFCI cord protect up to three corded tools simultaneously, which is a major productivity win on framing, painting, finishing, and remodeling crews.
Cable is 12 AWG, 3-conductor, with the SJTW yellow vinyl outdoor jacket: rated for outdoor use, 300 V, oil-resistant, water-resistant, and flexible at jobsite temperatures. Conductor sizing at 12/3 supports the full 15-amp circuit rating without derating over the short 2-ft run, so the cord can run miter saws, circular saws, table saws, vacuums, lights, and small compressors right at the cord's amperage limit.
